Foods to help almost anything.. Quite Interesting
So i'm checking my mail on Yahoo and the latest news catches my eye. Foods that can fix just about anything. You'd think it's so simple to add them to your diet. But with my life, it's just easier to cook what i know than to have to think about it. These photo's are beautiful by the way... Grapes for ageless skin; a bad mood try complex carbs like chickpeas, lentils, and whole grain bread; Acne try fish or walnuts ( i wish i could afford to eat fish more often but it's not the cheapest thing and it doesn't last long in the fridge);for splitting nails try protein rish foods such as lean beef, poultry, fish or nuts at every meal. Don't forget that just 2 eggs give ya 12.5 grams, almost 20 percent of your daily requirement. Thats crazy! ( you gotta check out the photo of the egss... just beautiful, so simple). Bad breath try plain yogurt; thin dry hair try green tea ( i hate the taste of this stuff); PMS try cheese or milk; more energy an apple with peanut butter (loved this as a kid). Interesting stuff... Just thought i'd share..

Without Shoes/ Donating shoes

Well Here it is almost 1 am my time and I should be asleep like my boyfriend has been for the past 3 hours... but I was researching getting a new bed when I thought about recycling shoes! My Cousin on my dad's side, Elizabeth asked me to be part of this cause of Facebook being put on by Toms. http://www.toms.com/ He runs an organization that makes money to donate shoes to people without shoes in third world countries. And I guess they are holding a international day to raise awareness on how it feel not to have shoes by taking a day to walk around without shoes on all day. Sounds pretty interesting.
You must OFFICIALLY register at http://www.onedaywithoutshoes.com to be entered to WIN a TOMS Shoe Drop!!
. . Why would a shoe company sponsor an event to not wear shoes...
Why would a company GIVE away a pair of shoes for every pair they sold? Sure, it might sound crazy at first but One Day Without Shoes expresses everything we stand for: educating consumers about the impact a pair of shoes can have on a child's like and empowering them with simple actions that address the need for shoes. Learn more athttp://www.onedaywithoutshoes.com
. . Sorry, I work... I can't participate!
There are a ton of creative ways to participate in One Day Without Shoes. Walk for an hour barefoot after work, plan a barefoot evening event or breakfast with friends, participate simply by sharing the message with friends who are able go with no shoes. The possibilities are endless, and people are getting creative. There are plenty of events all across the country: search by zip code at http://www.onedaywithoutshoes.com
. . Will i get in trouble for not wearing shoes??
We hope not. But we've anticipated your coworkers, teachers, principals, or community leaders having questions. We have a letter you can download and send to them athttp://www.onedaywithoutshoes.com. Go check it out!

Is anyone really reading this??
Do you ever get the feeling that no one really cares? What are we really blogging for... ? Does anyone read what I write? Except for the occasional comment back, which are usually mostly from my Cousin Sadie (thank you), I have no idea is anyone really looks at my blog and reads what is going on in my life. Sometimes we need the validation that someone does care.

What a Good Day! FINALLY!
Today was a beautiful day. We have finally been having some lovely weather here in NY and I'm loving it. I like winter and the snow. And we had our share of snow. After the last storm, I was ready for warm weather. Well here it comes. Let's just hope it stays!
