Well the last 2 weeks have busy. I have been working long and hard. I had 3 initial orientation training days. Then I worked 2 days and basically just got to know everyone and follow my mentor around to get the ladies schedules down. During the week they go to program. I have to pick them up around 3pm. They come home and we bathroom everyone. We have dinner around 5pm. One person cooks dinner. 3 ladies are independent eating, 3 are not. Then after dinner everyone gets bathroomed again. We work on goals then they can sit and watch tv or do what they want. Someone else cleans up the kitchen. All night there is laundry to be done. around 7pm showers get started. There are only 2 bathrooms. There are usually 3 people on duty at a time so each staff gets 2 ladies to shower. Then everyone goes to bed once their shower is finished. Then you have to document everything. These ladies are VERY hands on. The last 3 weeks I've been working an extra shift on thursdays and this month I have a training every Wednesday on different agency policy's. At my new job I work every weekend fri thro mon a total of 37 hrs. Then there was the extra shift and training on wed. Plus I work every morning at a school for autistic children. So I've been working my butt off. This week I finally get a break. Needless to say I AM LOVING MY NEW JOB. The ladies are wonderful to work with. There is always something to laugh about. And for the most part it's a really relax place to work. Just thought i'd update on how things are going.

Now all I have to get through the next two weeks of birthdays and mothers day. My baby's bday is next sunday!! (so is Ashby's) ... Then ross's 3 days later and then comes mothers day... AHHH!!!!

The birthday that keeps giving!

So Collin got paid and finally got me my birthday gift. Which is fine cause really, it's not even my birthday... But he couldn't wait to give it to me. I'm so excied!! He got me a Epson V500 Perfection Scanner!! Just what i wanted. He learned the hard way and finally got me something off my list. I couldn't be happier!

HAPPY EASTER!

So after my first day of work, my first work on a saturday in 4 months and my first 12 hr shift. I learned ALOT. I had a great day. A little boring and a lot to learn but i took it all in, did some stuff and got comfy with the elder ladies i will be responsible for. I got home and colored my eggs for easter. I dont like eggs, especially hard boiled so i'm not sure what i will do with them but here is what i came up with. My tricks, i learned from Martha Stewart (electrical tape!). Who knew...

I used just vinegar for a beautiful bright color...

Another cool one! literally... I used stickers from the craft section (scrapbooking) to make these...

And of course, No easter is complete without the easter bunny coming. I got a bunch of candy and I got collin 2 shirts (he's always in need of new shirts)... HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

The best gift i got, i didn't get a pic of. My mom gave me a really nice expensive 8 person 2 room tent. I can't wait to use it. Collin and I still have yet to really celebrate... so i didn't get anything from him but a really nice card so far..

Happy birthday to ME!

Happy Birthday to who? TO ME!! a Very happy bday! So I know my birthday isn't till the 10th but my new job is weekends and I'll be working that day. So I decided to Celebrate it early on spring break and while Ross was home. My first bday at home in 5 years! These are the first of the pictures. More to come.

Mimi made her famous Graham Cracker Pie. It's SOOOOOOOO Good. That was my main bday pie. Yes pie instead of cake! So good. It's a custard pie. The only custard I like. Weird I know.

Then she also made a Grasshopper pie. NO it doesn't contain grasshoppers. It's a oreo crust with a mint green pudding filling. It's delicious. Ross asked for it and Mimi complied.

Since Collin and I are always working and working on separate shifts, We never seem to get together during the day. So finally here we are in the daylight and I took the time to get our photo taken! New pics. It's funny because on my dresser I have a picture of us in high school because I dont really have any good pics of us together from the last year.
