NY HERE I COME!!

SO i've noticed that a lot of us, myself included, haven't been updating our pages as regularly as we used to. However, it's a busy time of year. The Holidays are upon us. I'm super excited because it's time. It's time to pack up the car and head home for thanksgiving! yup thats right, i'm going home for thanksgiving. and honestly i could have used the break about 2 weeks ago. I hate when thanksgiving is so late. So it's get the homework done, finish the classes, pack your bags and the car, and make sure you got enough money to fill the tank and pay the tolls. get a good nights rest (HA .. i'm usually too excited to sleep) and then head out as early as possible. It's a 12 hr drive. I got my musical all set.  i'm ready to roll.

I'm so happy to be going home. even if it's only for a few days. I love getting to see everyone and catch up. and eat cultured food!! i haven't been home in over 3 months. i'm so excited!! and i have a date when i get home...

Well i'm off to work and then to finish working on some last min. homework later tonight. then a 8-11 class and i'm off. Everything is ready!! SO EXCITED...

 HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

Exhausted ready for the Holidays

It's CRUNCH TIME.... it's the weekend before thanksgiving and everything is coming to an end. I have sooo much due, it's crazy. This whole semester has been crazy. I've had reading, and tests, and project after project overlapping, and more projects and papers, and work, and field trips. I have so much to do in the next few days. i have to get everything done before thanksgiving because when i get back everything is due! it's absolutely insane. whoever decided to have the last day of classes 3 days after thanksgiving is completely nuts! No one has had time to hang together to relax. No one has time to even call one another. It sucks. i'm tired. i'm tired of school, i'm tired of how everything costs so much, i'm tired of working and never having money, i'm tired of being tired. I feel like i'm losing my mind. i'm so over school.

things are changing so fast. and i have no idea whats to come. it's all exciting and yet scary. I have no idea what lies ahead. i am in need of a long long long vacation. and yet i have a feeling it's no where in sight.

ok so sorry for ranting. Bring the Holiday's on. I'm looking forward to Christmas break. A whole month of being at home, near family and friends. yeah i'll have to work but i miss home. i miss having places to be and having fun. i miss people wanting to be around me and actually having the time to be around me. Christmas is my favorite time of year. i love the decorations, the songs that get stuck in your head and you can sing along to because every year we sing the same songs. i love the giddy feeling of great things to come. i love not knowing what my gifts are and knowing that people care enough to come up with creative ideas for gifts. i love giving people something meaningful. i put so much thought into each gift. especially now that i usually give people my work. i love going to parties, and throwing parties, and just being around the people we love. It seriously is the best time of year and i'm looking forward to it.

The Zoo

So this weekend I went a photography conference in Ashbero, NC. A bunch of kids from class carpooled in my car with me. We had a blast. On sunday we went to the NC Zoo which happened to be in the same area. They had a lot of awesome animals, as well as stupid signs.

My say on Halloween business...

Ugh... Thank god Halloween is over. I realize that many of you are huge halloween freaks. Dont get my wrong as a child Halloween was definately the highlight of the year. I mean who doesnt like getting to parade around in school wearing a costume and getting candy instead of learning the times table. And then getting to stay up later trick or treating in the dark with pumpkins lighting up people front porces and filling you bucket (or I got older my pillow case) with candy. I did it even up till I was a senior in high school. My friend and my brother and I went around the whole neighborhood for like 3 hrs going house to house filling up our pillow cases with candy. I think it lasted me almost a year that candy... lol... It was fun. It was fun to see the egg fights and the people who got sprayed with whip cream cans. and everyone's creative costumes. But i'm a senior in college now and i just could care less. Maybe it's cause here in college town all anyone wants to do is be a slut and get drunk of halloween. Whatever! I spent my night rather boring, which was fine by me. I took the night of from work so i didn't have to deal with crazy people and drunks on the road and just stayed at home watching movies and sleeping. It was almost a perfect night.

Now only if people realized that its now time for Thanksgiving and not Christmas. And really thanksgiving is 3 weeks away, you have plenty of time to get all your grocery shopping done the week before. Is it really necessary to bombard the store the entire weekend of Halloween??
