Why Portland?

Everyone's favorite question is Why Portland? Well I said Why Not? Living in New York, you don't hear much about Portland, Oregon. You don't hear much about the west coast in general. But You never really hear about what Oregon is like. And perhaps thats because no one ever goes. Well We gave it a chance and We LOVE IT!!

What's not to love? Sure it's rains more than it does most other places but it's not always a down pour. It's warm 75% of the time here. Temps are cool in the morning and evening with it getting warm during the day. We still get 4 seasons, though Winter is not to big here. Usually it's ice or a few flurries. Oregon is one of the only states that has 4 different terrain within the state. There is prairie like flatlands when you enter into the state from the east. There are mountains with beautiful green trees (which are like no other). There is the city life. And then there is the beach. Here in Portland, we are 10 mins from the center of the city, 30 mins from the mountains, and 2 hrs from the beach. Give or take.

The City of Portland has sooo much to offer. Fun free or low cost things to do. Like the Oregon Zoo the second tuesday of every month it's only $4 entry!! http://www.oregonzoo.org/visit/hours-admission-special-offers. Or the OMSI , Oregon Museum of Science, which has $2 entry every first sunday of every month with each exhibit being discounted to $5 per.
